Installing masonry veneers used to be done with on-site mortar mixes, subject to variation in quality and performance. Installations usually required metal lath and provided inadequate weather protection, resulting in water intrusion and delamination of the veneer.
Other masonry grouts simply aren’t engineered as complete wall systems and don’t offer warranties that stand behind installation.
The LATICRETE® MVIS system has been verified through independent testing to perform equally to code-approved conventional lath and plaster installation systems for adhered masonry veneers.

LATICRETE® warranties cover any suitable tile or stone manufacturer’s product. Customizable warranties are available to suit your specific product.
Sturgis Materials recommends using PermaBase-brand Cement Board as a substrate for exterior wall systems, including Cement Board Stucco (CBS) and Cement Board Masonry Veneer (CBMV), to be eligible for the 25-year LATICRETE® warranty.

This ultimate, polymer-fortified thin-set mortar is for interior and exterior installation of masonry veneer, stone, ceramic tile, quarry tile, pavers, and thin brick. Designed to mix with water, MVIS Hi-Bond Veneer Mortar has a long open time with incredible adhesion and workability.
LATICRETE® Premium Mortar Bed is a polymer-fortified blend of carefully selected polymers, portland cement, and graded aggregates. It does not require the use of the latex admix; you only need to add water to produce thick bed mortar with exceptional strength.
Use LATICRETE® Premium Mortar Bed for interior and exterior applications, wet and dry applications, concrete repairs, as a scratch or finish coat in place of Type S or Type N mortar, and bonded and non-bonded thick mortar bed applications.
This factory-prepared mortar is designed to be mixed with water or LATICRETE® Mortar Enhancer. Formulated from a blend of high-strength portland cement, graded aggregates, and color-fast pigments, it provides a joint that is dense, hard, and durable.
